AWANA -- Connecting kids to God and His Word

AWANA is a ministry to children and youth that meets on Wednesday evenings throughout the school year.  It is a Christian international club based on Bible memorization. In addition to learning memory verses, children also learn the importance of being a team member, sharing thoughts and possessions, and learning discipline through fun, club-like structure. Children ages 3 years through 12th grade are invited to participate.

AWANA meets at Bethany every Wednesday night from 6:25 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. October though May.

We warmly invite you and your family to take part in any of the Children's Ministries programs that Bethany has to offer. Children have a special place in the heart of the Lord, and they also have a special place in the life of the church. We have a wonderful team of men and women who strive to make Bethany a place where your child can build friendships, enjoy personal care and concern, experience the Good News of god's love, and "...grow in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and people" (Luke 2:52).

On Sunday mornings we offer age-appropriate classes designed for each age level for children age 2 through 6th grade. The curriculum is designed to build a strong Biblical foundation.

It’s time to start collecting craft supplies for Vacation Bible School. If you have any of the following items to donate, please bring them to the box marked “crafts” across from the nursery.

• Film canisters (white or clear)
• Baby food jars with lids
• 12 oz. frozen juice cans
• Round elastic cord
• Colored drinking straws
• Candles
• Paint stir sticks
• Uncooked rice
• Rubber bands
• Child size sock (brown or white)
• 1/8” wide ribbon
• 1/4” wide ribbon
• Satin cord
• 16 oz. plastic water bottles
